Online training: Involving social partners in apprenticeships

Involving social partners in apprenticeships

The European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) has published a new online training module on social partners’ involvement at different stages of apprenticeships. This is the fifth in a series of training modules designed to provide insight into apprenticeship systems in the EU.

In this module, you will learn about:

  • who social partners are;
  • why and how social partners support aspects of the design, governance, and implementation of apprenticeship schemes.

Social partners play a significant role in driving the relevance of apprenticeship programs and training apprentices. This module is a concrete example of EAfA’s commitment towards the fourth priority set out in the Youth Employment Support package: strengthening social dialogue through a more active involvement of national social partner organisations.

Through a range of interactive materials, infographics, resources, and examples from different countries, participants will explore the different types of social partners, the concept and role of social dialogue, and how social partners can contribute to the apprenticeship training cycle.

The module takes around 30 minutes to complete. Upon completion, you will obtain a certificate of achievement.
