The high-level conference will take place on Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th March from 10:30 until 13:00 CET and will be live streamed on the ILO & EAfA social media channels.

The conference will serve as an important occasion to take stock of the work of the EU and the ILO in setting quality standards for apprenticeships. It will feature keynote interventions from European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, and Director-General of the ILO, Guy Ryder.

On the three-year anniversary of the adoption of the European Framework for Quality and Effective Apprenticeship, the event will explore apprenticeship reforms in Europe and internationally. Distinguished speakers and participants will discuss a range of topics, including the role of national apprenticeship coalitions in promoting reforms, the involvement of social partners in the development and management of apprenticeship schemes, and the importance of ensuring that the voice of apprentices is heard.

The event will be attended by a range of VET and apprenticeship stakeholders. It will be a chance to explore good practices and lessons learnt, and to inspire future action on apprenticeships on the European and international level.
